Letter to the Future

In the 2019-2020 school year, there will more Freshman taking Media Arts classes than in years past. 

The Media Arts classes @ LRHS are run differently than many of the arts and technology classes in the County--particularly Middle School classes--with the emphasis being on challenging yourself, student engagement and (especially) independent, project-based work. This can make for a difficult transition for students who are accustomed to more traditional teaching models.  

Your assignment is to write a three-four paragraph letter to a student in next year's Creative Photo 1 class.
*Talk about what you liked and what you found challenging about the class.  
*Address the projects, workload and expectations. 
*Share advice about how to be successful in Photo 1 and any other advice you can give to future Media Arts students at LRHS.

Each Photo 1 student next year will receive a letter from a former DA student. When you have finished your letter, email it to me at kleing@manateeschools.net

I will print the letters and hold them for next year's students.
